Juventus are making steady progress in their talks to sign Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli, whose replacement is already being lined up by the Partenopei.
Marco Conterio has reported that the contacts and talks between Guintoli and Juventus general manager Maurizio Scanavino are giving rather positive results. A three-year deal has been offered to Guintoli already but the Napoli sporting director will first have to find a way to leave the Scudetto winners. His current deal at Napoli runs out next summer but it is stated that he could head to Juventus, if he exits the newly crowned Champions without seeking a compensation fee.
Contacts are continuing even now, with the Bianconeri also speaking to many who have previously worked with Guintoli so that he has trusted staff around him at Juventus. If Juve do not end up signing Guintoli, their alternative for the sporting director role happens to be Sassuolo’s Giovanni Rossi.
In the meantime, Napoli are also lining up alternatives and the key target in the event of Guintoli’s exit is Pietro Accardi. Contacts for the Empoli market man are already underway, so that Napoli aren’t left unprepared if Guintoli does leave.
