Portugal international midfielder João Neves (21) is back in the PSG fray after spending a month and a half on the sidelines. The SL Benfica youth graduate pulled out PSG’s Champions League opener against Atalanta Bergamo (4-0) after sustaining a left hamstring strain. Neves’ return to action is excellent news for Luis Enrique and PSG, who will play three games in the span of six days, culminating with a mouth-watering Champions League clash against the unbeaten Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
For tonight’s Ligue 1 away clash against promoted side FC Lorient, Luis Enrique would be able to rely on João Neves, although the Portuguese is not expected to start against Les Merlus. Spanish international midfielder Fabian Ruiz remains out of the squad and Lee Kang-in is unavailable due to illness, whereas Achraf Hakimi has been given extra rest days. The Moroccan is expected to report back to training tomorrow.
