Rayo Vallecano star James Rodríguez has named the two Real Madrid stars whom he would most like to swap jerseys with this weekend.
James, for his part, is of course in the midst of final preparations for a meeting with his former employers.
Amid what has proven a difficult season to date for the Colombian international on the books of Rayo Vallecano, James will be hopeful of featuring in at least some capacity against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real on Saturday night.
Speaking in an interview with Marca in the buildup to the clash, a whole host of topics surrounding his one-time employers were, in turn, put to the 33-year-old.
One such question saw James drawn on which member of Los Blancos’ squad he would like to swap shirts with post-match at Vallecas.
And the midfield maestro went on to highlight a pair of his former teammates in his response, explaining:
”I’m not much of a player who asks for shirts, and that’s one of the things I regret now. But I was always shy about that. I never liked asking, never. On Saturday? With someone who I have played, with Modric, with whom I had a very good relationship, or with Lucas Vázquez, players with whom we played together and for whom I have great appreciation.”
