Jake Paul says there’s a clear difference between himself, Mike Tyson, and Floyd Mayweather.
And, no, ‘The Problem Child’ says it is not he who is the odd one out. Speaking on Tuesday to TMZ Sports, Paul seemed to liken himself to Tyson in one defining aspect, and hinted that they are both built different to Mayweather in this area of boxing.
All three fighters are headline news right now. Earlier in the week, Paul and Gervonta Davis faced-off for the first time, with Jake towering over ‘Tank’ ahead of their 14th of November boxing exhibition which takes place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, atop a Netflix card featuring other Most Valuable Promotions fighters.
Crossover fights and exhibitions are in vogue right now and Tyson and Mayweather appear to be capitalizing on the mood with an unofficial show of their own, tentatively scheduled for 2026. According to Paul, though, Mayweather is not like him, and he’s not like Tyson.
How Floyd Mayweather Differs to Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, According to Jake Paul
Breaking down the Mayweather vs Tyson exhibition, and who he’s rooting for in the show, Paul said: “I think Mike’s going to bring all the bravado, marketing, and promotion.”
He then revealed what he sees as the difference between Mayweather, and himself and Tyson.
“Floyd, when he’s recently fought, hasn’t been able to sell out stadiums, etc.”
This is a clear contrast to the 108 million people Netflix reportedly said watched Paul’s exhibition with Tyson.
“I hope it does well for both of them, and they can make a bunch of money,” Paul added. “And I hope Mike can go and put some hands on Floyd. I’m rooting for him.”

It is Paul who is first in action, taking on Davis mid-November atop a card that also features Alycia Baumgardner against Leila Beaudoin in a super featherweight world championship fight, and Gary Antuanne Russell against Andy Hiraoka in an elite super lightweight bout.
