Former Leeds United and Burnley forward Ian Lawson has sadly passed away at the age of 84, it has been confirmed.
Lawson initially came up through Burnley’s academy before a spell in their first-team for a few years before later joining Leeds.
A real fan-favourite at both clubs, the sad news of Lawson’s passing was announced by Burnley yesterday, as the club paid tribute to him before their Premier League clash away to Liverpool.
Lawson also played for Port Vale and Barnsley, and leaves behind wife Maureen, daughter Sharon and son Michael.
