How Juventus’ deal for Carlos Alcaraz could surpass €55 million

An insight into the eye-watering figures behind Serie A giants Juventus’ deal for Southampton star Carlos Alcaraz has appeared.

The name of midfielder Alcaraz has of course dominated the headlines in Italy over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes after word of Juve’s interest in the 21-year-old was followed by rapid confirmation of an agreement being reached between the board at the Allianz Stadium, and their counterparts at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Alcaraz’s unveiling as the latest member of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad, in turn, was made official on Wednesday evening.

Just how much, though, could his arrival ultimately go on to set the Bianconeri back?

Well, as alluded to above, an insight into as much has this evening been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Juventus insider Romeo Agresti, who has confirmed that Alcaraz has made the move to Turin on loan for the remainder of the season, for an initial fee of €3.7 million.

In the case of certain objectives being met, though, the Italian outfit could be forced to fork out a further €1.9 million, by the summer.

From here, Cristiano Giuntoli and co. will then be faced with the decision to make Alcaraz’s signing permanent, or not.

And, should they opt for the former, Southampton will be owed an extra whopping €49.5 million.
