Italian side Bologna are about to sign Hoffenheim center-back Stefan Posch, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. A loan deal is likely with a purchase fee set at €5 million. The 25-year-old Austrian international has fallen out of favor in new manager Andre Breitenreiter’s system.
Hoffenheim have rebuilt their defense this summer with the signings of Ozan Kabak, Stanley Nsoki and Eduardo Quaresma. Kevin Akpoguma and Kevin Vogt also seem to be ahead of Posch in the rotation, who’s only made one league appearance thus far.
Posch has been at Hoffenheim since 2016 and has featured in 126 games for the senior side.
