Wout Weghorst has left Hoffenheim following the end of his loan spell.
After spending the 2023/24 season on loan at Hoffenheim from Burnley, Wout Weghorst is leaving the Bundesliga club.
Hoffenheim confirmed on Monday that the Dutchman’s stay at the club will not be extended.
“When Wout came to us, I described this transfer as remarkable and extraordinary. Today we can say that this loan has paid off in full. With his quality, his style of play and his demeanor, Wout brought all the components we had hoped for with him,” said Hoffenheim’s director of sport, Alexander Rosen.
“He has made a significant contribution to us being back on the European stage for the fourth time in eight years. We thank Wout from the bottom of our hearts and wish him all the best for the future.”
Weghorst scored seven goals in 30 appearances for Hoffenheim.
