Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that Alejandro Balde was not the only member of the club’s backline to suffer a fitness scare against Leganés.
Barcelona are of course fresh off securing another vital three points on Sunday evening.
After making the trip to Madrid for a La Liga meeting with Leganés, a solitary own goal proved enough to guide the Blaugrana to victory.
En route to as much, though, Barca were dealt an altogether concerning setback, upon the aforementioned Alejandro Balde limping off during the first-half.
It is feared that the Catalans’ first-choice left-back could now miss several weeks of action.
And yet, as alluded to above, Balde was not the only member of Hansi Flick’s squad to cause a scare on Saturday.
Speaking to the media post-match at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, Barcelona’s headmaster admitted:
“Ronald Araujo has a a little discomfort in the quadriceps. I think he’ll be fine.”
