Niclas Füllkrug has been ruled out of Germany’s clash with the Netherlands.
On Monday, Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann revealed that Niclas Füllkrug was a doubt for Tuesday’s UEFA Nations League clash against the Netherlands due to an Achilles tendon problem.
Now, the German Football Association (DFB) has confirmed that Füllkrug will not be available.
Füllkrug was forced to pull out of Germany’s final pre-match training session after 15 minutes.
The 31-year-old’s unavailability will likely see Kai Havertz move up to the striker position he occupied during the European Championship.
Maximilian Beier, Deniz Undav or Chris Führich could come into the side in Füllkrug’s place.
