Paris Saint-Germain once again secured a favourable draw in this year’s Coupe de France. Luis Enrique’s side will travel to face National 2 side Stae Briochin in the quarter-finals of the competition.
There is a distinct lack of Ligue 1 sides in the draw. There have been plenty of upsets and the likes of Lille OSC and OGC Nice crashed out of the competition against lower-tier opposition in the Round of 16. It was N2 side Stade Briochin who beat Nice and their reward is a blockbuster tie against PSG.
Meanwhile, Stade Brestois will face Ligue 2 side USL Dunkerque, who beat Lille in a dramatic penalty shootout in the last round. AS Cannes will host Ligue 2 side EA Guingamp, who beat Toulouse FC, and SCO Angers, who beat RC Strasbourg Alsace will face either Bourgoin-Jallieu (N3) or Stade de Reims. Should Les Stadistes win their Round of 16 tie on Thursday night, they will set up the only all-Ligue 1 encounter.
