Fulham have slapped a £35 million price on left-back Antonee Robinson after a stellar Premier League campaign, according to Standard Sport.
Robinson was one of the top performers in a Fulham team that finished tenth in the league despite many expecting a relegation battle.
The 25-year-old is a defensively solid player who featured in 35 of his side’s 38 PL games. He also has the limbs to get forward and support the attack like a modern full-back.
The United States international defender records excellent progressive carrying numbers, which is crucial for full-backs.
Also, he posts solid defensive metrics. Since moving to Craven Cottage from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2020, he has become a mainstay for the Cottagers.
However, there is now uncertainty regarding his situation as he has only one year left on his deal with Fulham.
Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly after him as they search for a new left-back.
They signed Sergio Gomez last summer, but the Spaniard has failed to nail down a starting sport in the team.
City manager Pep Guardiola had to use Nathan Ake as a left-back last season but will be looking to reinforce that area with a natural left-back ahead of next season. Robinson is an option for the Cityzens.
Also, Newcastle United have shown interest in the Milton Keynes-born defender as they prepare for European football next season.
They have Dan Burn and Matt Targett on their roster but want to add more quality in that position. They are considering Robinson as an addition this summer.
Other clubs retain an interest in the Everton academy graduate. He is reportedly in the thoughts of Marseille and Inter Milan.
Furthermore, AC Milan have had him on their shortlist for some time. He has been a long-term target.
It is unclear where Robinson will be plying his trade next season, but he will have top-class suitors to choose from.
