Sky Germany reports that newly-appointed FC Barcelona trainer Hansi Flick may be interested in bringing German midfield prodigy Angelo Stiller over to La Liga.
After an eminently successful season that saw some label him one of the most significant young breakout stars of the season, understandable transfer rumors surrounding VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller are beginning to surface. The 23-year-old has nearly tripled his estimated market worth to a career-high of €23 million and proven himself capable of playing at many different positions.
Sky Germany reports that newly-appointed FC Barcelona head-coach Hansi Flick may potentially be interested in recruiting his young countryman to the Iberian peninsula. Flick and Stiller share the same agent as former Bayern star Robert Lewandowski, Pini Zahavi. Sky reports that Barça are among many clubs abroad who have made enquiries. The other parities are not named.
Stiller’s current deal in Stuttgart – which runs through 2027 – is not reported to contain an exit clause. The heavily-capped German youth international may nevertheless be interested in gaining a higher profile abroad, not to mention securing a higher salary for himself. Stiller currently serves under a trainer in Sebastian Hoeneß’ under whom he thrived for both at FCB II and Hoffenheim.
