Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina could have easily beaten Atalanta at the Franchi and while the 1-1 draw means that they do not go level with Juventus in the table, they have extended their unbeaten streak to 14 games in all competitions.
The last time La Viola lost a game was on the 12th of February against the Bianconeri themselves. Since then, they have drawn only three games and have won 11 of them and are already having one foot in the semi-finals of the Conference League and in the final of the Coppa Italia.
They are 4-1 up on aggregate against Lech Poznan in the quarter-finals of the Conference League and have a 2-0 advantage over Cremonese in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia. Along the way, they have beaten Milan and earlier in the season, they took points off Napoli as well.
Question marks were raised about Italiano in the first half of the season but the performances in 2023 have shown what an impressive manager the ex-Spezia boss is, as La Viola march on.
