According to the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, Max Finkgräfe’s contract with FC Köln has been automatically extended.

Max Finkgräfe has been one of the few bright spots in a difficult season for FC Köln.
Since the beginning of the season, the 19-year-old left back has made the step from the reserves to the first team and has established himself as a regular starter.
Finkgräfe now has 17 Bundesliga appearances to his name and, as a result, his contract has been automatically extended for another year, according to local publication Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Finkgräfe will stay beyond the summer.
Especially if the 17th-placed Billy Goats are relegated to the 2. Bundesliga, it could be difficult to keep the promising youngster.
