On last night’s “Transfer Update” show, Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg noted that FC Bayern München remained interested in cashing in on Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee.

In addition to commenting on the Chris Richards situation, Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany also emphasized that Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München maintain hope of netting a decent transfer haul on disaffected striker Joshua Zirkzee. The 21-year-old–recently returned from a successful loan spell at RSC Anderlecht–could fetch upwards of €10-15 million on the current transfer market.
Plettenberg noted that VfB Stuttgart has inquired about the youngster’s services, but ultimately decided that Zirzkzee’s salary proved too large for their payroll. According to the journalist’s share on the “Transfer Update” program, PSV, Ajax, and some unnamed Italian and English clubs remain interested.
The German record champions should be especially active in the final month of the transfer window in any case. A shopping list that includes the likes of Konrad Laimer, Mathys Tel, and possibly even Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic necessitates more liquidity released from the current roster.
