Whilst Olympique Lyonnais look set to complete the signing of Malick Fofana (18), other arrivals are envisaged this January. As reported by L’Équipe and Foot Mercato, Lyon are in the market for a winger. Saïd Benrahma (28) and Arnaut Danjuma (26) are both targets, with the latter keen on a move to the Groupama Stadium, according to Foot Mercato.
Danjuma is currently on loan at Everton from Villarreal, however, the Dutchman has found game time hard to come by with the Toffees. He is looking to impress ahead of the EUROs at the end of the season, and as a result, he is tempted by a move to struggling OL, who despite a recent uptick in form, still sit precariously above the relegation zone.
The deal to sign Danjuma is advancing, according to Foot Mercato, OL want the Netherlands international on loan and should Villarreal accept the inclusion of an option to make the deal permanent for under €15m, they will do so. Having got a positive response from the player, Les Gones must now convince Villarreal to make a deal.
