Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the transfer of Lucas Alario, according to Kicker.
B04 wanted €6.5m for the 29-year-old striker, a fee that Eintracht Frankfurt weren’t willing to pay in a lump sum. Both clubs compromised and SGE will pay parts of the fee via bonuses, depending on performance.
It was reported earlier today that Alario had reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt after talks had been ongoing for the past week. The Argentine will sign a three-year deal until 2025 with Oliver Glasner’s side and the deal will be made official once medical examinations are completed.
Alario wanted more playing time as he looks to earn a place in Argentina’s World Cup squad, something that couldn’t be promised at the BayArena following the contract extension of Patrik Schick and arrival of Adam Hložek from Sparta Prague.
Alario has scored 42 goals in 126 Bundesliga games for Bayer Leverkusen since his €19m move from River Plate in 2017.
