Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the process of redeveloping their respective iconic stadiums. Although the former’s project has only just begun, the Santiago Bernabeu’s is getting close to completion.
Construction work was going on at the Bernabeu during the vast majority of the 2022-23, which has allowed Real Madrid the chance to see these changes up close, although it did cause complications with the pitch on numerous occasions.
With the season having now ended, the next stage of the redevelopment has started, with the old seats now being removed, while the pitch is also being replaced once again, as Marca have shown.
The new seats will be navy blue, much darker than the old ones, while the colour of the corridor steps will change from orange to grey.
Real Madrid are hopeful of getting the project completed in the next few months, but there is still plenty of work still to be done. Nevertheless, exciting times for the club as the redevelopment edges closer to being done.
