According to Patrick Berger, former Borussia Dortmund head coach Edin Terzić has been contacted by Milan agent Zlatan Ibrahimović regarding the managerial role at the Serie A club.
The ex-BVB man has been without a job since leaving the Bundesliga side this summer. During his time at the club, the 41-year-old won the DFB Pokal and reached the final of the Champions League, narrowly losing to Real Madrid.
Current Milan coach, Paulo Fonseca, is under increasing pressure having only won one of his opening four games in Serie A. It’s been widely speculated that Fonseca could be sacked should his side lose the Milan derby against Inter this Sunday.
Terzić is considered one of the favourites for the role should Fonseca be sacked at the end of the week. Zlatan, working on behalf of Milan, has reached out to Terzić and his entourage in the past few days in order to get a sense of where the former BVB and his team stood.
It appears that Terzić’s reputation has grown across Europe largely due to BVB’s performances in the Champions League last season.
