Max Eberl has responded to reports that Nicolas Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich is on the verge of a collapse.
Bayern Munich were close to securing a loan deal for Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson when reports emerged on Saturday that the Blues no longer wish to complete the transfer.
Following Liam Delap’s injury in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Fulham, the club now reportedly want Jackson to remain and provide cover.
Asked about the situation ahead of Bayern’s Bundesliga game against Augsburg, sporting board member Max Eberl said:
“Extraordinary things are happening, I can’t say yet what’s going on. I’ll watch the game against Augsburg, and then [sporting director] Christoph [Freund] and I will see what we do.”
He added: “Transfers are only finalized once the signatures are in place.”
