Marco Reus’ future at Borussia Dortmund remains unclear. His contract with ‘Die Schwarzgelben’ expires at the end of the season, and talks about a new contract are yet to take place.
“Our appreciation for Marco is undoubtedly very high. Most recently, his focus was 100 percent on his injury, the desire to be able to play for us again and to be fit for the World Cup,” Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl told Bild and continued:
“We will sit down together as agreed and talk calmly about the future in a very trusting manner.”
33-year-old Reus is currently out with an ankle injury that is keeping him out of the World Cup.
Due to his injury problems, the veteran has been limited to just nine Bundesliga games this season.
