Como president Mirwan Suwarso has clarified the terms regarding Nico Paz’s future, particularly in relation to Real Madrid’s repurchase rights.
In statements to SportItalia – via Calciomercato, Suwarso asserted that while the Spanish giants may reclaim the player, the decision ultimately rests with Paz himself.
Suwarso emphasized: “I don’t care about the situation we have with Real Madrid. It’s a situation we agreed on from the start. Real Madrid are allowed to buy him back whenever they want.”
The president also highlighted the voluntary nature of Paz’s continued commitment to Como and everything hinges on the Argentine’s wishes.
“It’s up to Nico to decide what he wants to do with his future. We’re very happy to have him; we’d like to build a home for him in Como, of course. He’s chosen to stay this season, and we’re enjoying him day by day.”
His words portray a balance between respect for Real Madrid’s contractual rights and confidence in Como’s project. Suwarso frames Paz’s future as a matter of mutual choice, not external pressure, and signals Como’s desire to build around the player while abiding by the legal framework already in place.
