Serie A side Como 1907 have opened talks with Olympique de Marseille midfielder Valentin Rongier (30), according to Fabrizio Romano. A deal is reportedly on with the Ligue 1 side. Valentin Rongier is currently at a crossroads in his career. The Nantes Academy graduate has rejected a contract renewal proposal from Marseille after reportedly being disappointed by the terms offered by Les Olympiens.
Rongier is set to enter his final contract year with Marseille, and the 30-year-old midfielder is expected to be, as always, a valued member of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad. Marseille have qualified for next season’s Champions League and they haven’t made another move yet for AC Milan midfielder Ismaël Bennacer, who spent the second half of the season on loan at the Vélodrome.
