Juventus and Chelsea are reportedly locked in competition over Sergej Milinković-Savić, whose contract at Al-Hilal expires in 2026.
According to Corriere dello Sport, via TuttoMercatoWeb, negotiations for a renewal have ongoing but the Serbian midfielder in in a delicate balance between staying put and returning to Europe’s big leagues.
The article highlights that Milinković-Savić’s agent is speaking to the Saudi club about a renewal. With no agreement in place yet, Juventus and Chelsea are primed to exploit the uncertainty. Juve see him as the ideal midfield reinforcement, while Chelsea view him as a high-potential marquee signing.
Corriere dello Sport notes that while Al-Hilal would prefer to keep the player, they may ultimately have to acquiesce if a strong enough offer arrives. Given the contract situation, the mid-season window could become a battleground for both clubs.
