Real Madrid just pulled off an impressive and perseverant 3-2 win over Manchester City away from home. The win sets them up perfectly for the second leg which takes place next Wednesday.
When speaking to the press following the clash, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has seemingly confirmed that two defensive reinforcements will be back in time for the clash at the Bernabéu.
The two players he mentioned are Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba, who have both been out of action since the start of February.
Should either or both of those two players mentioned end up returning, Real Madrid will doubtless be a more cohesive defensive unit when they take on Man City next week.
Real Madrid might not even need that boost, however, as many fans believe that at 3-2, Los Blancos are all but through to the last 16 of the competition.
There are still 90 minutes of football to be played, however, and anything can happen when these two teams are involved.
