Stade Brestois are set to sign AS Monaco goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki (25) on a season-long loan, according to a report from L’Équipe.
The Polish goalkeeper managed to take the No.1 jersey in the second half of the 2023/24 season, following some shaky performances from Philipp Köhn. However, Majecki was unconvincing at times last season and so the No.1 jersey was passed between the Polishman and Köhn.
At the end of last season, Monaco CEO Thiago Scuro said that the goalkeeper situation would be addressed during the transfer window. It has taken a while, however, the Principality club now look to have found their new No.1 – Lukas Hradecky. The Finnish goalkeeper is set to join from Bayer Leverkusen.
His arrival will push Köhn down to No.2, leaving Majecki third in the pecking order. A departure was therefore envisaged. He is now set to join Brest. The Poland international will undergo his medical on Friday and join on a season-long loan, without a buy option.
