Bournemouth are considering a summer move for Sevilla defender Loic Bade, according to Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman has emerged as a potential target for the South Coast club, who are facing a pivotal transfer window at the back after the departure of Dean Huijsen and the uncertain future of Illia Zabarnyi.
Bafode Diakite is Bournemouth’s dream signing at the moment, but Lille’s asking price of €40 million is proving to be a sticking point, with the Cherries prepared to pay €30 million.
Consequently, Bournemouth are now exploring moves for alternative targets as they seek to reinforce their defence ahead of the start of the new Premier League season.
Since joining Sevilla, Bade has established himself as a key player and made 32 La Liga appearances during the 2024-25 campaign.
His combination of physical presence, aerial strength and calm distribution out of defence earned him a recent call-up to the French national team and a full international debut against Germany in the Nations League third-place contest last month.
Aston Villa were linked with a move for Bade last winter, and the 25-year-old revealed he spoke with Villa sporting director Monchi before deciding to stay at Sevilla, although he did leave the door open for a summer exit.
“I’m one of those who think in the present and I feel very good here,” he told ABC Sevilla via Sport Witness.
“So, I think more about being happy today than anything else. Then whatever has to happen will happen, but now I don’t think about anywhere else.

“When the summer comes, we’ll see where we are. Whether there are new offers or not, I don’t want to think about it.”
With four years left on Bade’s current deal, Sevilla are expected to demand a sizeable fee for his services.
