After a 1–2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga over the weekend, Bayer Leverkusen got their revenge on Tuesday, defeating the Black and Yellows 1-0 in the DFB-Pokal round of 16 at Signal Iduna Park.

Ibrahim Maza put Leverkusen ahead with an unstoppable strike in the 34th minute, and Dortmund were unable to find a response despite pressing for an equaliser.
