Serie A side Bologna saw Santiago Castro impress last season and he has attracted attention from Al Hilal.
The transfer window in Saudi Arabia is still open and the striker is of interest to Simone Inzaghi, who saw him from upclose last season.
Gianluigi Longari reports that Al Hilal asked Bologna if they were interested in the 20-year-old’s sale. The Rossoblu have rejected the approach as they consider the striker to be a key player and do not want to lose him after the closure of the Italian transfer window.
Castro had been struggling with some niggling physical issues since last season and over the summer, he worked to regain his fitness. However, he didn’t have much time because, in the first competitive match, the designated starter at the start of the year, Ciro Immobile, suffered a serious injury.
Bologna want to build around the talent and will not sell him to Al Hilal or any other suitor.
