Beppe Riso claims Roma blocked move for Tommaso Baldanzi despite advances from Fiorentina and Milan

Tommaso Baldanzi’s agent Beppe Riso admits Roma opposed any moves for his client in the winter transfer window.

Speaking in an interview with La Repubblica via TMW, Beppe Riso revealed that he tried to get his client, Tommaso Baldanzi out of Roma this past transfer window as he received interest from Fiorentina and Milan but Roma countered any move with assurances.

Riso claimed that the Giallorossi assured Baldanzi of a starting position in the near future and restored faith in him as a long-term asset. He said: “I tried to get him to leave. They were looking for him in Florence and Milan, but Roma were opposed. They say he will become one of their starters”.

Baldanzi edged closer to a potential move during the summer but he stayed on with the appointment of Claudio Ranieri as head coach. While he has not entirely been left out of Roma’s games, Baldanzi is looking for more regular playing time and therefore has kept his future open by giving a chance to his current club.
