Bayern Munich are looking to bring in an experienced back-up for striker Harry Kane this summer, according to German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg.
The English centre-forward has been in sensational form this season, netting 34 goals and 12 assists in all competitions for the Bavarians.
However, the German giants have no recognised deputy to Kane, who has started in 25 out of 27 games in the Bundesliga and every game in the Champions League.
French forward Mathys Tel also joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan in January after struggling for game time at Bayern.
With Spurs looking to make Tel’s deal permanent, Bayern have prioritised adding depth to the centre-forward position.
They are also exploring low-cost players with enough experience under their belt, a profile similar to Eric Choupo-Moting, who had a great spell between 2020 and 2024.
Bayern are said to be monitoring the progress of Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade, who has been one of the stand-out players in the Bundesliga this season.
The 23-year-old has racked up 12 goals and three assists and is touted to earn his maiden senior call-up from the German national team soon.
Mainz’s in-form forward Jonathan Burkardt is also on Bayern’s radar.
The 24-year-old has been enjoying a prolific season in Bundesliga, being the third-highest scorer with 15 goals.
He also made his international debut with Germany in October.
Bayern are also working on a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen superstar Florian Wirtz this summer.
The Bundesliga champions are keen to extend the contract of Wirtz, however, the Bavarians are ready to break the banks for his signing.
