As reported by Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano Raphaël Guerreiro’s proposed move to Bayern Munich is in the final stages of completion.
Sky Germany had reported that negotiations had begun between Guerreiro and Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel after a discussion over the phone. However, it appears now that the move is all but complete.
According to Romano, personal terms between the two parties had been agreed and the move is ready to be confirmed. The Portuguese left-back is set to sign for the German champions on a three-year deal that will expire in the summer of 2026, with the medical set to take place next week.
Guerreiro’s contract expired this summer with Bayern’s title challengers Borussia Dortmund, who were minutes away from being crowned Bundesliga champions. This means that he would be free to sign for any club of his choosing, however, he had long signalled of his desire to play for the Bavarian outfit.
It is a dream move for player and coach as Tuchel is understood to be a big fan of the 29-year-old, and it will also be a reuniting after Tuchel was the coach to sign Guerreiro for BVB. Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid were the other sides interested in the left-back but they have been informed about the final decision.
