Barcelona are expressing an interest in the signature of a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Real Betis.
That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Ayoze Pérez as the player in question.
Frontman Pérez is in the midst of what has proven a solid campaign, which has seen him notch 11 goals and three assists across all competitions.
And such production, it is understood, has piqued attentions amongst the transfer team at the aforementioned Barcelona.
As per AS, Deco has identified Pérez as an attractive cut-price option to add to the Blaugrana’s frontline with a view to next season.
Amid struggles in their efforts to scrape together the required funds for some of the club’s more high-profile targets, the former Leicester City man has been earmarked as a potential bargain signing.
This comes with his contract with Real Betis containing a release clause set at just €4 million.
Pérez’s versatility is also highly appreciated at the Camp Nou, with a summer swoop for his services, as a result, being taken into serious consideration.
