Barcelona sporting director Deco will be tasked with conducting the club’s business in the final 10 days of the summer transfer window. He wants at least one more signing, and at this stage, the most likely addition would be a new left winger.
Nico Williams is no longer an option, as he prepared to stay at Athletic Club for at least one more season. Rafael Leao is a dream target for Barcelona president Joan Laporta, but he’s entirely unrealistic. A much more likely candidate is Federico Chiesa, whose agents have been in contact with officials from the Catalan club.
According to TuttoJuve.com’s Mirko Di Natale, Barcelona have already presented an opening offer for Chiesa. The fee quoted is €10m, whereas Juventus’ asking price for the 26-year-old is €15m.

If Barcelona are serious about signing Chiesa, it’s surely inevitable that an agreement will be reached with Juventus. The only problem would be ensuring that the Italian is registered with La Liga for the 2024-25 season.
