Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has provided an update on the wellbeing of defensive star Alejandro Balde.
This comes after the left-back was forced into a premature departure from the club’s latest outing.
Barcelona marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Madrid for a La Liga meeting with relegation-threatened Leganés.
When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged narrow victors, extending their advantage atop Spain’s top-flight to seven points courtesy of a 1-0 win.
En route to as much, however, the evening’s visitors were also dealt a blow on the personnel front.
Late in the first-half, Alejandro Balde pulled up with what appeared to be a muscular problem, before quickly being hooked by boss Hansi Flick.
Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his first-choice left-back’s wellbeing was quickly put to Barca’s headmaster.
And Flick’s response proved less than encouraging, as follows:
“Alejandro is not very well… it’s better to wait and see what the tests say tomorrow.”
