Lille OSC will be without one of their key defenders when they host Olympique de Marseille on Sunday evening after Bafodé Diakité (24) picked up a two-game suspension for accumulating too many yellow cards and also for his sending off in the victory over Angers SCO (2-0) last weekend.
The centre-back has been one of the most consistent players for this Lille side having missed only one game (the 2-1 defeat to Le Havre AC in February) across the entire season. However, Lille will have to learn how to do without him when they take on Marseille at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.
The upcoming clash is well-poised, with Lille able to leapfrog their visitors with a victory and claim second place in the league ahead of the final two matches of the campaign. A defeat for either side could see them slip out of automatic qualification spots for next season’s Champions League.
