Atalanta make new offer for Celtic’s Matt O’Riley

Serie A side Atalanta have now made a new offer for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.

The Hoops have previously pegged back offers from Atalanta, as they have constantly wanted a higher fee to sell the Danish midfielder.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that a new bid has now come in from La Dea, who are now offering €17 million to Celtic to sign O’Riley. While it has been reported in the recent past that the player is quite interested in the move and personal terms will not be an issue, Celtic still want more.

The new bid isn’t enough for the Scottish giants, who want another offer to sell their prized asset. O’Riley’s situation is closely linked to that of Teun Koopmeiners, who remains missing from training and will not play for the club against Real Madrid in a couple of days.

But Atalanta’s goal right now is to first sign O’Riley and then let Koopmeiners leave. But they now need another offer.
