A statistic, highlighting the woes of Sevilla star Juanlu Sánchez against Arsenal, came to the fore on Wednesday evening.
Turning attentions back towards matters on the continent, the Andalusian outfit made the trip to London, for a daunting Champions League group stage meeting with Arsenal.
On the night, the Gunners simply proved too much for Sevilla, en route to a comfortable 2-0 victory.
As alluded to above, though, whilst none of the visitors’ stars exactly covered themselves in glory over the course of the 90 minutes, one member of Diego Alonso’s squad endured a particularly difficult evening.
The player in question comes in the form of Juanlu Sánchez.
Right-back Sánchez was tasked with marking Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates, with Arsenal’s explosive wide-man having shown no mercy in running the youngster absolutely ragged.
In fact, so badly did Sánchez struggle on the night, that he equalled an eight-year-old Champions League benchmark, in being dribbled past on a hefty eight occasions.
