Arsenal star Kai Havertz is ruled out with a serious knee injury

Arsenal have been dealt an untimely setback as Kai Havertz is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury.

According to The Athletic, the 26-year-old forward has undergone initial medical checks, but the full extent of the problem is not yet known.

The club’s medical team is continuing its assessments, with the prognosis and expected recovery timeline still unclear.

The latest injury to Havertz has come as a major blow to Mikel Arteta and his team who are already without Gabriel Jesus who is recovering from an ACL injury.

This leaves Arteta with new signing Viktor Gyokeres as the only fir striker in the squad at the moment.

Havertz’s ability to play multiple roles, whether as a forward, attacking midfielder, or even a false nine, has made him a valuable part of the squad.

Losing him at this stage of the season is a major concern for the Gunners but they have the opportunity to step into the transfer market to sign a new attacker.

Arsenal have been monitoring several attacking players throughout the summer, but Havertz’s injury has increased the urgency to move.
