Arsenal have taken a step closer to signing Valencia star Cristhian Mosquera, Fabrizio Romano has revealed – with the Gunners having reached an agreement on personal terms for the 21-year-old defender.
The report by Romano on X (formerly Twitter) states that Arsenal have reached ‘full agreement’ on personal terms with Mosquera, as a deal looks closer to completion.
A new proposal from the Gunners is set to be submitted to the La Liga outfit in the coming days, having seen an opening €14million (£12million) was rejected by Valencia.
The Gunners are hoping to get the deal done with a fee ‘in excess’ of €20million (£17million) for his services, with Mikel Arteta hoping to strengthen his backline with a move for the ‘incredible’ young Spanish star.
