Arsenal have set their sights on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze as they look to bolster their attacking options on the left wing ahead of the new season, according to talkSPORT.
The Gunners have been actively exploring ways to add more firepower to their forward line, and Eze has now emerged as a serious contender on their shortlist of targets.
The 26-year-old England international has impressed consistently for Palace since making the switch from Queens Park Rangers in 2020.
Eberechi Eze has consistently shown progression
Eze helped Palace win the FA Cup by beating Manchester City in the final this season and his performances have impressed some of the top clubs in England.
He has steadily grown into one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking midfielders.
The 26-year-old gifted playmaker has recorded 40 goals and 28 assists in 167 appearances across all competitions.
While Arsenal are now firmly in the mix, they are not alone in pursuing Eze. North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring the situation closely.
Spurs have long admired the Crystal Palace man and could compete fiercely with Arsenal should formal talks develop.
Any potential deal for Eze, however, will not come cheap. The dynamic midfielder has a release clause in the region of £68 million in his current contract, which runs until 2027.
That means Crystal Palace are in a strong negotiating position and would likely demand the full value of the clause for any summer move to go through.
Arsenal need a player like Eze in their squad

With the Gunners looking to mount another serious title challenge next season and increase squad depth in the wide areas, Eze’s versatility and end product make him a compelling option.
His ability to play as a winger or advanced midfielder could provide manager Mikel Arteta the creativity and spark that his team lacked in the final third last season.
Arsenal’s pursuit of Eze will be one to watch closely with Spurs also interested in the England international.
The Gunners are chasing Real Madrid’s Rodrygo but Eze might appear as a more affordable option compared to the Brazilian.
