According to Foot Mercato, Manchester City and Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez (32) is set to receive a contract offer from Suadi Arabian side Al-Ahli, which will reportedly be a 3-year deal. Foot Mercato journalist Hanif Ben Berkane however denies reports that the value of the contract reaches €100m.
Al Ahli Jeddah has reportedly identified Mahrez as a key target. The club, which recently clinched the title in the Saudi Arabian second division, will be making a return to the top flight next season.
Although Mahrez did not feature in the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan, the 32-year-old has already secured an impressive treble this season, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and the Champions League with Manchester City. With 15 goals and 13 assists across all competitions, Mahrez has proven his worth and continued to excel despite stiff competition in his position.
Manchester City extended Mahrez’s contract to 2025 last season, and likely intend to keep the player at the club.
