RMC Sport and L’Equipe are reporting that Achraf Hakimi (25) was absent from Paris Saint-Germain’s training session on Friday because of a court summons to Nanterre due to an accusation of rape.
The player since the 3rd of March 2023 has been indicted and is under nine months of judicial supervision after the complainant accused him of having forcibly kissed her on the mouth and chest, and adding that she suffered digital penetration against her will.
Hakimi’s legal defence has denied these accusations and has reportedly waited for their opportunity since the start of the investigation to engage in their right of a Witness Confrontation with the claimant, arguing that this is a ‘racketeering attempt’ against the player.
The club stated that Hakimi was missing from training due to “personal reasons”, and has authorisation to miss further sessions in the future for similar reasons. However, Luis Enrique suggested that the player was still available for their fixture against FC Nantes on Saturday evening.
