After having recently agreed on personal terms with Youssouf Fofana (25), AC Milan is now working on finding an agreement with AS Monaco to sign the French international, whose contract is set to expire next summer.
Fofana’s journey at Monaco will undoubtedly come to an end this summer, with both parties being on the same page. With only one year remaining on the midfielder’s contract, Monaco wants to cash in on the French international, while the 25-year-old is looking for his first experience abroad. The former RC Strasbourg Alsace midfielder is edging closer to AC Milan, who have already finalised all details on personal terms. However, the Lombardy club might have to step up their offer to the Principality club.
While Monaco initially wanted €25M for letting Fofana go, Sky Italia reports that the French outfit will now be willing to accept an offer worth €18M. An amount far below, €12M has been submitted by Milan, who has been rejected by the Principality club. Both parties remain confident that an agreement will be found, with the Italian outlet highlighting that a deal could be sealed next week.
