After Germany’s 5-0 win over Hungary, Niclas Füllkrug said it’s a “gift” to have Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz in the team.
Niclas Füllkrug was in good hands in Germany’s 5-0 win over Hungary, playing just in front of the exciting duo of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz.
After the game, the striker, who opened the scoring, was quick to praise his two young teammates.
Musiala scored and set up three goals, including Füllkrug’s opener, while Wirtz racked up a goal and an assist.
“I’m proud of the team for starting so confidently and with such seriousness,” Füllkrug said in a post-match interview.
“When Flo and Jamal really got going in the second half, it was a pleasure to watch. They’re very hard to stop. We’re really happy to have them in the squad, it’s a gift.
“All German spectators will have a lot of fun watching them in the coming years,” said the West Ham striker.
