Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has revealed that the club have now achieved their objectives of the season after they beating Atalanta 1-0 win the final of the Coppa Italia to win the competition.
The Bianconeri won the title for the 15th time in history, while Max Allegri won it for the fifth time in his career and he has become the most successul manager in the competition’s history. Vlahovic meanwhile, has written his name in the club’s history books as he scored an early goal which proved to be the winner.
The Serbian spoke to Mediaset (via TMW) about the result and stated that they achieved their objectives for the campaign.
“I find it difficult to speak, I can only thank everyone. We know the difficulties we faced, in the end we achieved the objectives set at the beginning of the year. I’m sorry for the Scudetto, but Inter deservedly won. Today we faced a good team, I say the compliments.”
Vlahovic also stated that the club will aim to win everything next season and that it is part of the club’s DNA to do that.
“We entered a moment from which we struggled to emerge, but this was our maximum and it was also going badly for us. We are very happy, but next year we must aim to win everything. Juventus’ DNA requires this.”
This is the club’s first piece of silverware in Allegri’s second stint at the club and it is Vlahovic’s first trophy at the Bianconeri as well.
