Bild reports that up to 12 players could leave Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer, eight are likely to leave, while four players could leave on certain conditions.
When it comes to contracts not being extended, Patrick Herrman and Tony Jantschke will retire at the end of the season when their deals expire, They will both remain at the club in different roles. Tobias Sippel and Mamadou Doucoure will both leave the clubs when their contracts also expire in the summer.
Jan Olschowsky is set to leave Gladbach on loan in the summer as he has found himself as either second or third-choice goalkeeper this season.
Loanees, Jordan and Maximilian Wöber will not stay at the club beyond the summer. Jordan has failed to impress on his year-long loan from Union Berlin. While for Wöber the buy option in the agreement worth €12m is too much for Gladbach so they are likely to turn their attentions to David Affengruber of Sturm Graz.
Gladbach also this summer as potentially the time to part ways with Manu Koné. The 22-year-old has struggled with injuries this season but has still attracted interest from PSG as well as Premier League clubs. A fee of at least €20m is expected for the midfielder.
While the players that could leave under certain conditions are Nico Elvedi and Ko Itakura who both have release clauses worth €10m and €15m. Joe Scally and Florian Neuhaus could also leave Die Fohlen if they receive a good enough offer.
