Arsenal sit top of the Premier League ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City, and Thomas Tuchel believes Mikel Arteta’s side are the best team in the country.
Speaking ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final tie against the Gunners, Tuchel said: “Arsenal are currently the best team in the Premier League. All statistics show that. They’re in absolute top form.”

Arteta was also full of praise for Tuchel ahead of the upcoming tie. The Spaniard told media he was a “big admirer” of Tuchel, and had “learned a lot” from the German. The two coaches have met on three previous occasions, when Tuchel was in charge of Chelsea. Arteta got the better of his opposite number, winning two and losing one.
No travelling Bayern Munich fans at the Emirates
Tuchel’s Bayern side face Arsenal at the Emirates without any travelling support on Tuesday night after UEFA banned away supporters for pyrotechnics against Lazio in the Round of 16.
