Fortuna Düsseldorf couldn’t stop Xabi Alonso’s unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen side, who eased into the DFB-Pokal final with a 4-0 win.

Xabi Alonso’s high-flying Bayer Leverkusen side are through to the DFB-Pokal final after a comfortable 4-0 win over 2. Bundesliga side Fortuna Düsseldorf on Wednesday night.
In a very one-sided affair, the Bundesliga leaders broke the deadlock after just seven minutes through Jeremie Frimpong.
Amine Adli doubled the lead after 20 minutes before Florian Wirtz put Leverkusen 3-0 up in the 35th minute, practically putting the game out of Fortuna’s reach.
On the hour mark, Wirtz scored his second of the night from the penalty spot to make it 4-0 and round off a successful night for Bayer 04.
Leverkusen will face another 2. Bundesliga side, Kaiserslautern, in the final on May 25.
